Zoology display sculptures at Ashworth Labs
Sometime in the late 80’s, after graduating from Edinburgh College of Art, I worked for a year, via a “Community Program”, at Edinburgh University’s Zoology department. This involved creating displays in what are now called the Ashworth Labs. The white sculptures above are made of plaster and designed to display fossils and related specimens from the University’s collection.
In January 2013, we went back to the labs, met with the Natural History Collection’s curators, Mark and Graham, and took some photographs.
